Dr. Berkowitz is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. His writings and scholarship include the fields of constitutional law, conservatism and progressivism in America, liberal education, national security, law and politics in the Middle East. The author of hundreds of articles, columns, and reviews on various subjects for a range of platforms, including American Political Science Review, The Atlantic, The Boston Globe, London Review of Books, Jerusalem Post, Haaretz, Chronicle of Higher Education, Commentary, National Review, The New Republic, New York Post, New York Sun, Policy Review, The Public Interest, Real Clear Politics, The Times Literary Supplement, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Weekly Standard, The Wilson Quarterly, and The Yale Law Journal. His latest book is Constitutional Conservatism (2013), published by the Hoover Institute.
