Senator for the state of Arkansas, serving among others on the Banking Committee, where he was Chairman of the Subcommittee for Economic Policy, as well as on the Intelligence Committee and the Defense Forces Committee, where he served as Chairman of the Subcommittee for Land and Air Forces.
Tom grew up on the family cattle ranch in Yell county Arkansas and graduated from Harvard Law School. After interning at appeals court and at a private law firm, he left law after the 9/11 attacks.
He served in active duty as an officer in Iraq and Afghanistan, winning a number of medals during his service. After serving and before entering political life, he worked for McKinsey. Cotton is married and a father of two children.
