freedom of speech - שמרנות ישראלית | Israeli Conservatism

English

עברית

The freedom of speech is the basis of every liberal democratic society. It is a precondition for academic freedom, the freedom of the press, and open civil discourse. In America, the freedom of speech is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution. In Israel, it does not appear in the text of any Basic Laws. Is freedom of speech respected in Israeli society and its cultural centers? What should be the limits, if any, on freedom of speech?

Tikvah Fund Israel invites you to a special conference on the burning questions about Freedom of Speech in Western society and in Israel

Let’s talk about your freedom

The Tikvah Fund is an educational institution and think tank, aimed at cultivating intellectual and civic excellence within the Jewish People and the State of Israel. Tikvah accomplishes its mission through its support of educational and intellectual projects, where the great texts on policy, morals, and economics are presented and studied.

The first Israeli Conservatism Conference has become an annual national institution. In ,2022 over 1,000 Israelis including leading thinkers and activists, united to formulate a vision for a prosperous Israeli future, addressing conservative priorities in law, society, economics, culture, education, security and other critical fields.
